Gender Equality and Equal opportunities at the University

Equal opportunities and gender equality is more than just tolerating both sexes. It is an active transformation of the general environment with the aim that both genders find their place an be equally successful.

University St. Gallen (HSG)
The Service Center Equal Opportunities is part of the University administration and responsible for measures for the equality of women and men at the University of St. Gallen as well as for certain offers for the promotion of women within netz+ - HSG Women.

Part of our budget is financed by the Federal Programme for Equal Opportunities at Universities.

Networking
We are a member of the Conference of Gender Equality Delegates at Swiss Universities (KOFRAH-CODEFUHES), the Gender Equality Conference of East Switzerland and Liechtenstein (GL-O-CH) and the 'Round Table Equal Pay' of the Canton St. Gallen, Department of Internal Affairs.

The future 
A lot has been achieved within gender equality, but concerning real equal opportunities and effective gender equality: we're not there yet. Now it is a matter of preserving the achievements, protecting the long-term effects and of working further on the aims of real equalization of women and men. We advocate ourselves for it and for you!
