Accreditations
The internationally recognised quality of our courses is important to us, which is why we have taken comprehensive steps to assure quality.

For the purposes of accreditation, we regularly have our University assessed according to the highest international quality standards by independent experts. We have been EQUIS-accredited since 2001 and AACSB-accredited since 2003, which makes us the first university in the German-speaking area to have gained the two most demanding international seals of quality for business schools.
Internationally recognised further education
We are among the front-runners in the field of management courses, as confirmed by the 2008 evaluation report of the US American Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Our efficient further education, HSG graduates’ excellent prospects on the job market, our students’ commitment and involvement and the University of St.Gallen’s Assessment Level were mentioned in particularly favourable terms.
Exchange with other accredited universities
This international accreditation is also important to us because we want to continue to attract top-class students. The ranking strengthens the University of St.Gallen as an international brand. Moreover, the seal of approval also facilitates exchanges with other AACSB-accredited schools.
Praise for an altogether very high level of quality
In 2010, the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accredited the HSG for another three years. An international team of four experts subjected our University to an intensive three-day peer review. The experts attested that the HSG generally has a very high level of quality, a strongly rooted shared culture, exemplary relations with trade and industry, strong regional ties, highly developed skills to deal with change, and distinct strengths in research.
