Dies Academicus, Graduation Days, Freshman Week for Assessment Level students and Kick-off Day are important regular events in our annual calendar.

Dies Academicus
Dies Academicus is the grand holiday of our “alma mater", a day on which we celebrate with our professors, students, alumni and university staff.

Graduation Days / Award ceremony
On Bachelor and Master Graduation Day we ceremoniously bid farewell to our graduates who have completed a B.A. HSG or M.A. HSG. Future HSG Doctors receive their degrees at the award ceremony.

Freshman Week
During the week before the semester begins, new students convene to attend the on-campus Freshman Week. By offering students their first, common experience at the HSG, Freshman Week fosters a lasting bond among students and with their Alma Mater.

Kick-off Day
In contrast, the purpose of Kick-off Day is to welcome new Master’s and Ph.D. students as well as undergraduate students transferring from other universities. The day gives them the chance to meet their future fellow students and get a first impression of our university.
