Admission to the Business Education degree course
The Business Education degree course is an additional qualification that can only be obtained in conjunction with a university Master’s degree.
Acceptance and criteria for enrolling in the degree course
You may begin the degree course in Business Education during the Bachelor’s degree course, when entering the Master’s Level or as a supplementary course after completing the Master’s degree course. Students who meet the criteria for a Master’s degree and have successfully completed the supplementary course are entitled to bear the title dipl. Wipäd in addition to the original degree.
Admission of internal and external students
Students who are enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree course or at the Master’s Level or have already completed a Master’s degree are admitted to the supplementary course.
Students are admitted without any additional conditions if they are enrolled at the University of St.Gallen
- in a Bachelor’s degree course in Business Administration, Economics, International Affairs or Law and Economics (BLE);
- in a Master’s programme in business or economics or in the Master’s programme in international affairs and governance or in the Master’s in Law and Economics;
- have completed a business or economic Mater’s programme or the Master of Arts in International Affairs and Governance;
- have graduated with a corresponding Licentiate.
Students are admitted with conditions if they
- are enrolled in a Bachelor’s programme at the University of St.Gallen with a Major in Law (BLS) or are enrolled in the Master’s in Law (MLS) or have already completed this degree course.
- have acquired a Master’s or Licentiate/Diploma from another university equivalent to the degree awarded by the University of St.Gallen.

Admission of foreign students
Please note the special admission conditions for prospective students of foreign nationality.
Enrolment for students of the University of St.Gallen
Students of the University of St.Gallen need to log on to the service portal to access the Application form. Please note: Students can register during the semester enrolment period, but no later than two weeks after the start of term time.
Enrolment for students of other universities
Students of other universities must enrol online with the Online enrolment form.
If you have already completed an equivalent Licentiate or Master’s degree and would only like to complete the supplementary course, you must register under “Second Master’s degree course”. Then select “supplementary course in Business Education only“ from the menu.
If you would like to complete the supplementary course in conjunction with a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, please select the corresponding Bachelor’s/Master’s programme during the online enrolment process. Enrolling for the supplementary course is only possible once the student has been accepted to a degree course at the University of St.Gallen.
