OCTOBER 2010
 MIAs Meet the Market
 We would like to invite you to our next MIAs Meet the Market event on October 22nd, 2010 at 18:15. Mr. Daniel Schmutz, CEO of Helsana Group, will talk about his career after his studies at the HSG. Please note, that Mr. Schmutz will give his speech in German. The event will take place in room 01-107. Afterwards, refreshments will be served and all of you are invited to stay.
APRIL 2010
 Career preparation and starting work
In this internal lecture, programme directors Professor Dirk Lehmkuhl and Professor Christoph Frei demonstrate how to utilise your BIA or MIA studies as a platform for developing your own profile and to develop a convincing "projet professionnel". The lecture will be held on Thursday, 29 April 2010 from 1:15 to 2:00 pm in Room 10-U148.
 
 MIA lecture
 Dr. Michael Reiterer, the principal Ambassador and Director of the Delegation of the European Commission for Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein, will speak on 22 April 2010 on the topic “European foreign policy after the Treaty of Lisbon”. We warmly invite you to this lecture!
The MIA lecture takes place from 12:15 to 2:00 pm in Room 09-011.

MARCH 2010
 MIAs meet the market
The “MIAs meet the market” lecture series begins in the Spring Semester 2010 with a visit from Dominik Stillhart on Thursday, 11 March 2010. Mr. Stillhart has served with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for 20 years both as a delegate in Angola, Somalia, Rwanda, Sudan and other countries as well as at the Head Office in Switzerland. Take advantage of the occasion to learn more about potential career paths in international organisations from an HSG graduate and designated practitioner with a great deal of working experience.
The event takes place from 6:15 to 7:00 pm in Room 10-104. Afterwards, refreshments will be served and all are invited to stay.

DECEMBER 2009
 MIAs meet the market
On Thursday, 17 December 2009, Dr. Manuel Rybach (Executive Director at the Office of the Regional CEO Asia Pacific, Credit Suisse, Hong Kong) will speak with students about his career.
The event will take place from 6:15 to 7:00 pm in Room 09-113. You are warmly invited to stay afterwards for refreshments.  

NOVEMBER 2009
 MIAs meet the market
 On 9 November 2009 you will have the opportunity to meet Dr. Christian Blickenstorfer, Swiss Ambassador in Berlin and to learn more about his career. Ambassador Dr. Christian Blickenstorfer will speak about his interesting and diverse experiences in Thailand, Iran, Saudi Arabia, USA, Germany and of course Switzerland.
The “MIAs meet the market” lecture will take place from 6:15 to 7:00 pm in Room 09-115. You are warmly invited to stay afterwards for refreshments.
 
 APSIA Admissions Fair 2009 in Berlin
 Thirteen leading American and European universities with Master’s programmes in International Affairs will be present on 16 November 2009 at the APSIA Admissions Fair in Berlin.
Interested persons have the opportunity to receive information about the various programmes on the Hertie School of Governance (HSoG) campus and to directly compare the different programmes.
This Fair is being organised by the HSoG and the Master’s Programme in International Affairs and Governance (MIA) under the direction of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA) – an international cooperation of the leading universities with Master’s Programmes in International Affairs.
 
Public Sector Fair 2009
The Public Sector Fair will take place this year for the third time at the HSG on 24 November 2009. Organized by AIESEC and the MIA programme management, this fair is an exhibition and offers several workshops in which students can learn about different fields and career options in the public affairs sector. Representatives from international organisations, public institutions and companies with an employment profile in the public affairs sector will be taking part in the event. In 2009 these included the European Union, the World Bank, the EDA and the municipality and canton of St.Gallen.
