MIAs Meet the Market
Several times each semester, experts are invited offer their insights into their jobs and career developments in order to help you start your career. A number of these experts are graduates of the MIA Programme or the former political science majors. The following speakers have participated in the MIAs Meet the Market at the HSG in the past:

Dr. Benedikt Wechsler
Ambassador Wechsler visited us in fall 2011, and gave a speech about what happened between his graduation from HSG in 1991 and his current position as Chief of the Cabinet of the Heads of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.

Dr. Ernst von Kimakowitz
As a special guest, we welcomed a HSG graduate in Business Administration at MIAs Meet the Market in spring 2011, when Ernst von Kimakowitz told BIA and MIA students about his involvement in Humanistic Management.

Daniel Schmutz
Daniel Schmutz (CEO of Helsana Group) talked about his career after his studies at HSG on 20 October 2010.

Dominik Stillhart
The MIAs Meet the Market series of events was started in the Spring Semester 2010 with a visit from Dominik Stillhart. Dominik Stillhart has worked for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for 20 years, at the headquarters in Switzerland and as a delegate to places such as Angola, Somalia, Rwanda and Sudan.

Dr Manuel Rybach
On 17 December 2009, Dr Manual Rybach (Executive Director at the Office of the Regional CEO Asia Pacific, Credit Suisse, Hong Kong) spoke with BIA and MIA students about his career.

Dr Christian Blickenstorfer
On 9 November 2009, students had the chance to meet with and learn more about the professional career of Dr Christian Blickenstorfer, Swiss Ambassador in Berlin.

Dr Markus Seiler
The Secretary General of the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (VBS) and graduate in political science at the HSG, in April 2009 Dr Markus Seiler discussed with BIA and MIA students possible career opportunities and his professional career.

Markus Mader
In November 2008, Markus Mader, lic.rer.publ., Director of the Swiss Red Cross, reported on the course of his career.

Sven Bradke
Dr rer.publ. Sven Bradke, an independent economics and communications consultant and CEO of Mediapolis, talked about his professional career in 2008.

Prof. Wolfgang Schürer
Prof. Dr h. c. Wolfgang Schürer, Visiting Professor in residence for Public Affairs at the University of St.Gallen and Chairman of the Board of Directors of MS Management Service AG, discussed in May 2007 with BIA and MIA students strategies for starting a career.

Alison King
In June 2007, Alison King, partner at King Zollinger & Co. Advisory Services and a graduate in political science at the HSG, talked about her activities in international development work and her professional development to become an independent consult.
