The HSG campus

Our campus provides the ideal setting for your studies. Distances between different departments are short and connected by a modern infrastructure.

The Library Building by night.

Our campus is located on a sunny hill in St.Gallen with a lovely view of the city. It is well-connected to the public transportation network, or is about 15 minutes on foot from the city centre or train station.

Renovated and extended campus
The approximately 40-year-old structures were completely renovated, and existing university buildings were structurally adapted. Besides new classrooms, an underground car park, a big new restaurant run by Migros, and a modern triple sports hall with a wide variety of facilities were built on campus. Furthermore, the classrooms were brought up to the state of the art and adapted to contemporary forms of teaching. In addition, the number of learning places has been increased.

To be able to cope with the higher student numbers, various measures have been successfully implemented – particularly the transmissions of lectures into other lecture rooms, the massive increase in the number of groups in the Assessment Year and the delivery of lectures in provisional classrooms and extramural buildings within walking distance.

Manageable and modern
Our campus is compact, with a manageable size and modern infrastructure, helping students both in their individual and group study activities.

Artwork by Giacometti and Richter
Above all, our institute of higher education is a place of culture and art. Works from Arp, Miró, Braque, Giacometti, Richter and other artists are presented in a unique dialog with the buildings, designed by architects Walter M. Förderer and Bruno Gerosa.
