Admission and enrolment

Admission to the Organisational Studies and Cultural Theory Ph.D. programme involves two stages: formal admission and finding a supervisor.

Formal admission
The Ph.D. degree course is open to all holders of Master's degrees from the University of St.Gallen as well as from other universities. In addition, depending on the student’s prior course of study, supplementary work may be required in the fields of humanities and social sciences and/or business administration.

Formal admission to the Ph.D. programme at the University of St.Gallen is centrally organised and is not handled directly by the DOK programme. Please refer to the “Admission and enrolment for a Ph.D.” pages for information about the admission procedure and requirements.

Admission and finding a supervisor
Admission to the DOK programme also requires a letter from a supervisor stating his or her willingness to supervise your doctoral thesis. This process is part of the admission procedure. Please leave enough time to take care of this part of the process.

The fact sheet will help you find a supervisor.
