"I am from the French-speaking part of Switzerland and I have to say that the University of St.Gallen is meeting all my expectations. The quality of teaching as well as the thoughtful policies for non-German-speaking students has confirmed my choice to attend the University. For instance, the HSG offers German classes (before the start of the first semester and during the semester), more time during exams and the possibility to study two years on the assessment level. The HSG is aware of the growing importance of international diversity and tries to encourage it." |

"I worked in a consulting company in China before enrolling at the HSG and I came here to complement my existing skills and knowledge. The SIM programme has exceeded my expectations by far. The curriculum design and quality of teaching is definitely on par with the top business schools in the world, as noted by the Financial Times Global Masters in Management Ranking (No.4). In addition, I was able to secure an off-cycle, strategy-related internship with a top MNC, which I could only dream of before coming to the HSG. This opportunity opened up for me after only one month in the programme thanks to the HSG’s strong reputation in the German-speaking parts of Europe. Looking to the future, I am confident that my HSG experience will open doors for me and accelerate my career development." |

"The HSG is a very international university thanks to the variety of nations represented by students and professors. Once you have experienced its practice-oriented, challenging environment as an exchange student, you cannot help pursuing the ambition to obtain regular status, which was my situation. I was also attracted by the University’s freedom to choose courses and its networking policy with business groups and other prominent universities." |

"When people ask me what it means to study at the University of St.Gallen, two answers immediately come to mind. First, student involvement in campus activities is extraordinary. No matter what your passion is, there is something for you in the wide range of extra-curricular activities. Working in the student union and participating in the students’ theatre has considerably enriched my time in St.Gallen. Second, you can select your courses à la carte. While I am majoring in economics, I also chose law, business and politics classes. They offer me exactly what I am looking for: A general education that is widening my horizons." |

“I am studying Law at the University of St.Gallen because I like the structure of the degree courses with Contact Studies, Independent Studies and Contextual Studies. This lets us choose from a broad range of electives in various disciplines – the ideal complement to our studies. For example, my cultural and international background is the reason I am interested in international law, in particular the challenges of international corporate law. My studies at the HSG allow me to focus specifically on these subjects, and I will focus on this area even more in several seminar papers.
Studying at the HSG is also fun thanks to the various clubs and events organised by students. I'm also involved in a number of extracurricular activities such as organising the HSGtalents Conference.” |

“I like the University of St.Gallen because of its manageable size and because of the cooperative atmosphere amongst students. In addition to their studies, most students are involved in some of the approximately 100 clubs and student initiatives. The activities range from parties to cultural events, all the way to the approximately 70 different types of sports organised by HSG Unisport.
I chose the Bachelor in Law and Economics because it is a good combination of two interesting fields. I think it is becoming increasingly important to look at problems holistically and from an interdisciplinary standpoint. The Contextual Studies format, which is only offered at the HSG, is conducive to this approach. Since the HSG is a relatively small university, students have more intense connection with their professors. Whenever we have any questions, we can talk about them with our professors.” |

“What I like especially about the University of St.Gallen is its international focus. We can choose from more than 150 partner universities worldwide for exchange semesters. Every year, about 400 exchange students study at the HSG. Contact with these people from a wide range of different cultures is enriching and interesting. Our different approaches to finding solutions to problems become especially apparent when we do group work.
I would like to go to San Diego on exchange because I have always been fascinated by California. I would also like to improve my English and hope that I will get the chance to take some longer trips through the USA.” |

“After completing my Bachelor studies in International Economics and Trade at the Central University of Finance and Economics in Beijing, I chose to proceed with my studies at the most famous Swiss business university. All my expectations were met! The Master in Strategy and International Management (SIM) offers much more than a degree. The SIM programme provides not only a structured and relevant curriculum, but also a vast and breathtaking community, as well as new friendships and international experiences. Being part of the SIM programme is like becoming part of a large multicultural family. Furthermore, the program offers a unique insight into diversity and interpersonal skills that are essential for a successful career in the future. Thanks to the SIM program, out of my Master's studies I have harvested both academic success and a dream job as an international manager.” |
