Interdisciplinary studies
The Major in International Affairs provides you with an interdisciplinary, internationally oriented degree course. We combine the core subjects in the unique manner so typical of the University of St.Gallen and are the only programme that provides a solid foundation in the political sciences.

Generalist education
Courses in economics, political science and selected areas of law and business administration provide you the tools you need to assess relevant issues in politics, economic and law. With the major in International Affairs we take a generalist approach, focusing and integrating approaches from various disciplines. This is the major difference from the other programmes.

International perspectives
We are also committed to an international perspective and provide you with opportunities – whether in specific courses, exchange semesters or internships – to gain a broad range of international experience.

Theory and practice
Our major in International Affairs emphasises the interrelationship between theory and practice. Internships, practice credits and special courses offer numerous opportunities during your studies to acquire professional and practical experience, thus allowing you to create a successful, attractive portfolio.

Our major in International Affairs is offered in German. For detailed information about this major, please refer to the German version of this page.
