Upcoming Events

On May 7th 2012 at 12.30 the third Brown Bag lunch will take place at the MLE House. Dr. Alexandra Collm, IMP-HSG and Dr. Christoph Wecht, ITEM-HSG, will give a talk on "open Innovation in the public and the private sector: Challenges, Differences and similiarities". In the following discussion questions shall be adressed as "how open Innovation can evolve in the private sector" and "which adjustments of the concept of open innovation are necessary for an implementation in the public sector".

On May 31st/June 1st 2012 a symposium will take place on the topic of "financial innovations". It will focus on the relevance and regulation of innovative financial products which were heaviliy criticized following the global financial crisis. The event will be divided into four blocks: the formation of financial innovations, their regulation in the markets and in the companies as well as questions regarding their rating and their taxing. Further information regarding the symposium will follow soon. In the meantime we are happy to answer any emerging questions.

Past Events

The second Brown Bag Lunch of the profile are "Business Enterprise - Law, Innovation and Risk" took place on November 28th 2011 in the MLE-House. Prof. Dennis Hilgers, junior professor for Public Management at the university of Hamburg, spoke on the topic of "Public Innovation Management - Ways to open the government and administration"

On November 30th 2011 a congress on legal problems of technology transfer took place. It adressed head of technology companies, technology transfer centers as well as lawyers specializing in this area and gave a very good insight into the complex legal questions regarding transfer of technology.
