Italian Language and Literature

Italian in Switzerland and Europe.

Italy is one of the world’s largest industrial nations and is Switzerland’s second most important trading partner. But it is also the country of creativity and “Made in Italy”. Getting to know the country – apart from the usual stereotypes – means, above all, learning to understand and grasp its historical and cultural uniqueness, its social and economic features. At the same time, you also begin to understand the past and present history of Europe. The Italian language is also one of the four national languages of Switzerland, a country in which “Italianità” is very real. These are just a few reasons why it makes sense to study the Italian language and culture in more detail.
