Quantitative Economic Methods profile area

The purpose and goal of this profile area is research in the area of quantitative methods and teaching. Our members come from different fields within economics as well as adjacent areas.
Mathematics, econometrics and statistics are among the central instruments of research at the School of Economics and Political Sciences. Quantitative Economic Methods is an area of specalisation dedicated to fundamental research in these fields and the application of their respective methods in teaching.

This area of specialisation brings together professors and assistant professors from several different institutes at the University.
Research and publications
It is our goal to publish our research in internationally recognised journals in order to maintain and broaden the reputation of the University in the field of quantitative methods. In addition to publishing activities, we participate in academic discourse through our attendance of conferences and involvement in an international network with researchers in our fields.
Teaching
As a logical consequence to our research we aim to provide high quality education in the fields of mathematics, econometrics and statistics and teach our methods and results to our students. The main focus of our teaching is the Economics and Finance Ph.D. programme.
