Our experts’ profile
More than 35 members of the three profile areas are working on current issues and applying their knowledge in research, teaching and consulting. These profile areas help to finance three assistant professors in order to continually expand our areas of competence and to develop outstanding young researchers.
- Economic Policy profile area
Our excellence in research is the foundation for the quality of our consulting and education. The Economic Policy profile area is dedicated to research in the area of applied economics. One of our main objectives is to promote interaction between economic policy actors and basic researchers and to actively implement new findings.
- Quantitative Economic Methods profile area
In the SEPS mission statement, we describe quantitative methods as one of the key tools of our research. To keep up in a highly-competitive international environment, we dedicate ourselves to researching in the area of the methodological foundations in these quantitative methods. In addition to research, we are also responsible for teaching in this area.
- Global Democratic Governance profile area
The objective of this profile area is to analyse the causes, effects and democratic legitimacy of new forms of governance.
