Interaction with students

The extracurricular calendar of the University of St.Gallen includes various types of events, making it possible to meet students in a variety of settings.

Two official recruiting fairs
In the Spring and Fall Semesters you can meet our students, graduates and experienced professionals at the HSG TALENTS Conference and the HSG TALENTS Recruiting Days.

Practice-oriented projects and theses
Three of our English-language Master’s degree courses include mandatory practice-oriented work:

  1. the International Project (SIM-IP) of the Strategy and International Management (SIM) programme
  2. the Business Project in spring of the CEMS Master’s in International Management (MIM) (The Global Alliance in Management Education)
  3. the practice-oriented project of the St.Gallen MBA programme

In addition, all students write a Bachelor’s or Master’s Thesis.

Career Events
Together with selected partners and trainers, our Career Services Center provides opportunities to develop expertise and gain practical experience - from taking stock of your career and doing research to setting goals and applying for jobs to starting your job and further developing your career. Regular topics include career planning, application documents review, interview training, personal performance and networking.

Research and consultation with students and experts
The University of St.Gallen has five schools. These are the “School of Management”, the “School of Humanities and Social Sciences”, the “Law School”, the “School of Finance” and the “School of Economics and Political Science”. More information can be found under “Research” and "Schools". A complete list of the student clubs can be found on the pages of the Student Union (SHSG).
