All participants of the SCALA Research Projects have a high reputation in the international scientific community, they also have a reputation in policy advice.
The St. Gallen Research Centre for Ageing, Welfare and Labour Market Analysis (SCALA) is structured around the three central research topics work, ageing, and welfare which are investigated by professors Heike Bruch, Monika Bütler, Michael Lechner, Gebhard Kirchgässner, Winfried Ruigrok, Franz Schultheis, Dieter Thomä and Uwe Sunde as well as junior researchers from the University of St. Gallen. Every participant contributes to the three central research topics with several projects from his or her specific research perspective and expertise.
