Organisational Energy

The research unit “Organisational Energy” examines the energy of older workforces and the conditions that enable older workforces to be an energetic and performing part of companies.

Organisational Energy (OE)
The framework of Organisational Energy (OE) is used to explore:

  • the performance of ageing workforces
  • the work conditions under which older workforces become and sustain high performers
  • to analyse how companies, politics and the society can interact to support and maintain an energetic ageing workforce, and hence create societal welfare

Older employees may perceive non-market activities as similarly important as their paid work, influencing how intensely they contribute and engage within companies.

Analysis and results
Topics that could be jointly examined by the two units are how work-life-balance and non-market activities relate to being productive at work. As in OE, motivation is also important in the decision to leave the workforce, i.e., in research units U (Unemployment) and AH (Ageing and Health).

Projects

  • OE.1. Generational Leadership for an energetic ageing workforce
  • OE.2. Age Diversity, Energy and Performance
  • OE.3. Successful HR practices for the demographic change and societal the societal and political framework
