Funding options
We can offer HSG researchers a variety of research funding options. You can find an overview of each of the funding programmes on the following pages.
The range of our funding opportunities includes:
- Project funding
The Basic Research Fund (GFF) is available for research projects carried out by post-docs (e.g. habilitation projects) and professors/institutes at the HSG.
- Conventions and conferences at the HSG («Research Panel»)
You can obtain funding from the University of St. Gallen for academic conferences from the Research Panel Fund.
- Articles for publication
The Bühler-Reindl Fund and the Emil Zaugg Fund can primarily be used to fund printing and translation costs for books.
- Fellowships for prospective researchers
The SNSF Fellowships offer prospective researchers (doctoral students and post-docs) the chance to carry out research at a host institute abroad. The Central Europe Foundation provides funding for smaller research projects by junior researchers who are matriculated at the HSG and come from central European countries.
There are three submission deadlines per year for all funding programmes.
