Certificate on financial statement
The certificates on financial statements must be issued for every EU project as soon as the EU contribution exceeds EUR 375,000.
Cost certificates must be submitted with the financial statement for the reporting period in which the EU contribution of EUR 375,000 was exceeded.
Please note: due to a different name under FP6, these certifications are also known as audit certificates.
Issue of certificates by the Cantonal Audit Office
Project partners from the University of St.Gallen can ask the Cantonal Audit Office to issue these types of certificates. Ask the admin department of your institute which employees at the Cantonal Audit Office are responsible for you.
The Cantonal Audit Office audits the University’s Institutes and is therefore familiar with the University’s accounting system and procedures.
The certificates must be requested from the Audit Office in time beforehand in order to make planning easier (if possible two months in advance).
Certificates issued by other bodies
These certificates on financial statements can also be issued by independent audit companies. However, they are usually more expensive.
